PAW-SITIVELY ADORABLE PUP-DATES

Who rescued who is a pretty good question. Dogs seem to have an uncanny sense of when they’re being saved and will stop at nothing to repay the favour. Prepare the tissue box for our where are they now stories of true love and rescue that may just set off the waterworks.

NICE SHADES,

Nelly

Nelly is living her best life!

YOU ARE SO LOVED,

Anoushka

When Anoushka first got off the plane in Vancouver, she was pretty stressed out after the long trip from the Middle East. She spent the first 45 minutes outside the crate hiding under a car in the parking garage. She spent that most of that weekend snuggled in a bedroom with my daughter – trying to come to terms with a new country, new climate, new food, new name, new everything. She started to come out of her shell when we went for a walk with my sister and her dog, Atticus. A grown Australian Shepherd, Atticus was the perfect calm and relaxed mentor to help her overcome her fears and begin to develop her self-confidence. Since that first weekend, Anoushka has blossomed into a wonderful dog. She is beautiful, smart and strong-willed. She knows that we are her tribe, and is always full of excited greetings when I come home. She loves to go pick up Mom from the bus stop, and adores her smaller brother Max, a chihuahua/dachshund mix, who adores her right back.

WE'RE SO HAPPY FOR YOU,

Apollo

Apollo is a big dog and passed over because of it. Almost 4 yrs in a rescue. I am soooo glad I got him. Very lucky. At 120 lbs. A little overweight, but now down to 110 and looking good. Yes, he has big poops. lol comes with the big dog thing. He may not be little but he sure loves his mom. He was having a hard time going for walks because he was scared to leave the property. He always wanted to get back and would pull like a draft horse to get back. We are now passed that being almost 4 months now. He sees his leash and actually grabs it to go. He likes to walk himself. Great recall! We are taking him down a nature walk next week for the first time. I cannot wait for him to experience it. I needed a big dog to help protect my property and he does his job with enthusiasm. Love my big boy.

HEY THERE,

Una

Una’s been with us for almost 2 years now and she’s still learning new things. She has just recently realized that she loves playing ball and this morning we found her all curled up on the patio chair. She loves to lay outside but for some reason this morning she decided that the chair would be a comfy spot.

YOU'RE RIGHT,

best dog ever

Best dog every! Had Finn for exactly one year and he goes everywhere with us (Florida in the winter and in Nova Scotia right now). He’s just so happy and thankful for a loving home, he shows it all the time! We just love him! Everybody he meets can not believe his sad story and understands why a rescue dog is the only way to go!

NOTHING CAN STOP

Eri

Eri (Eridani) is a delight–loves to be petted–and lifts a paw to show that he needs more loving. You can also see that he loves his walks and that he’s not hampered by being a tripaw.

ISN'T THAT THE SWEETEST

smile?

This little guy will be celebrating 2 years in Canada soon. Adopting him has been the best and most rewarding thing I’ve done. Thank you for making it all possible

YOU'D NEVER GUESS IT,

but...

Here is Gypsy, adopted 2.5 years ago. She’s a happy tripod and has come so far since we adopted her. She’s still very afraid of dogs her size and larger that she doesn’t know, and will most likely always prefer small dogs. She loves to play with small breeds!

LOVE YOUR DOG AND YOUR DOG
